Located in Upstate New York, Shiloh The Messenger is a rapper, producer, and writer who pours his soul into his musical passion. Originating with a background of reggae and calypso, he’s found solace in hip hop, and over the years has continued to hone his skills and elevate his mastery of the craft. He started from a young age playing the steel drum, going on countless gigs all over the state, and surrounding areas. HIs musical taste involved a wide variety of artists such as Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Buju Banton, A Tribe Called Quest, and countless others. As he grew older, he fell in love with the hip hop sound more and more, from freestyling in the car with friends, to eventually deciding to try writing rhymes for himself. This process of song writing and lyric crafting turned into a form of therapy - a way to make sense of the world around him, as well as his own innermost feelings and thoughts. He turned to soulful styled beats and rhythmic drum breaks as a creative outlet, not yet understanding the full scope of what his music could truly be. After progressing in writing and rapping, he began experimenting in production, turning to vinyl to recreate those soulful instrumentals he had grown so fond of. With years of writing, rapping, and production experience, it was finally time to culminate all of his skills into song making and stage performance. By creating music true and authentic to his soul, and performing it straight from the heart, Shiloh The Messenger presents himself as a one in a generation talent.
